This chapter covers headgear of all kinds and parts thereof. It takes in hats made up from felt, lace or other textile fabric in the piece, knitted or crocheted headgear, other headgear whether or not lined or trimmed, and hair-nets of any material. The exceptions listed in the notes — used headgear, headgear of asbestos, and toy or carnival hats — fall in other chapters.
