This chapter covers nickel from metallurgical intermediates through semi-finished and finished articles: nickel mattes and oxide sinters, unwrought nickel, bars, profiles and wire, plates and foil, tubes and pipe fittings, and other nickel articles. The chapter note defines unalloyed nickel as metal containing at least 99% nickel plus cobalt by weight, with cobalt not exceeding 1.5% and every other element staying under the limits in the note's table. Metallic materials that go beyond those thresholds count as nickel alloys. For subheading 7508.10, "wire" means product, whether or not in coils, of any cross-section, whose maximum cross-sectional dimension does not exceed 6 mm.
1. Bu fasılda geçen tabirler aşağıda tanımlanmıştır:
(a) Alaşımsız nikel:
Ağırlık itibariyle en az % 99 nikel- kobalt içeren metallerdir ancak :
(i) Ağırlık itibariyle kobalt oranı % 1,5'i geçmez ve
(ii) Ağırlık itibariyle diğer herhangi bir elementin oranı aşağıdaki tabloda belirtilen oranları geçmez:
TABLO - Diğer elementler
(b) Nikel alaşımları:
Bunlar nikelin ağırlık itibariyle diğer elementlerin her birinden fazla olduğu metalik maddelerdir,
ancak :
(i) Ağırlık itibariyle kobalt miktarı %1,5'i geçer;
(ii) Diğer elementlerin en az birinin ağırlık itibariyle oranı yukarıdaki tabloda belirtilen oranları
geçer veya
(iii) Nikel -kobalt hariç, diğer elementlerin ağırlık itibariyle toplam oranı % 1'i geçer.
The first six digits of every code in this chapter are the same in every country that applies the Harmonized System. The chapter has 6 headings and 30 twelve-digit codes (2026 schedule).
The range is always computed WITHIN a single column: showing the EU column and the all-other-countries column as one range would misstate the duty. The binding rate depends on the twelve-digit code and the country of origin.
